Katie Wayne is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Biology from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2019 and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2021 as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is currently a Fellow of Vanderbilt’s Primary Care Residency program and plans to continue serving her patients here in Cookeville for years to come.
Katie is from Lawrenceburg, TN, and credits her passion to serve rural populations from the positive support and experiences she had growing up in a small town. She is excited to serve patients across an entire lifespan and is especially passionate about pediatric and women’s health care. Katie is an empathetic, kind nurse practitioner who intends to offer patients an understanding and warmth that will allow them to share their concerns and be confident in seeking the healthcare they need.
Katie has two cats, Squeaky and Luna, and enjoys playing basketball, nature, painting, and spending quality time with loved ones. She thanks God for her good fortune in being able to work with her fellow providers and provide excellent primary care to the Upper Cumberland area.
